BoatHouse, TTDI

Ahoy sailors!

Last Monday I went to have dinner with my partner at Boathouse, TTDI...
Well, it was a day before plan as a friend of mine Wan Wan, talked about the restaurant when we on MSN...
She let me have a look at the place thru her blog...
Well, it's seem to be a nice place for a candle light dinner...
So, I gave it a try.

Was rounding the area as I only passed by the place before the MAYBANK... and did not know it was located at the same lane as the bank...
Next to it was a pub, not sure what's the name...
We went to the restaurant just before 7.30pm...
We did not make any reservation, as I don't see that need...
Oh well...
Lucky us...
After we got our seat...
The place was full house after 7.30pm!

We browse thru the menu...
And can't believe that it's so much varieties to choose from!
I told my partner that I'm just reading a book!
From the menu there's total of 133 items, included dessert excluded drinks.
Western to Asian delights.

Price?
Well, our meal cost RM340!
Worth it?
Yes.

The most pricey meal was the Chef Recommendation...
Steak with Foir Gras Sauce... RM120.90!
Lucky enough, it's worth for the money...
My partner really enjoyed and digged in the steak deliciously...
I had the Poseidon Platter... RM45.80
Consists of lamb fillet, 2 prawns, some caesar salad with bacon bits, sauteed mushroom, a scallop and a fish fillet.

Dessert, well....
It's not really as what I expected...
Cheese Platter... RM25.90
It's nearlly spoilted our whole meal...
The cheese it's pretty salty...
I thought it will be better with a glass of wine...
So I ordered a glass of house pouring...
Gosh!
Eventhough I not a wine drinker...
But I can smell the wine being opened for least 4 days already!

Least we ended our dinner with a glass of warm water.

Well...
I'll give 4 stars out of 5 to the restaurant...
Expensive, yet it's nicer than TGIF and CHillis...
Especially the steak, as my partner comment.

Here's the pictures I manage to snapped, the lighting not really that good...
It's romantic place...
Crowded, but it's still alrite for couples to spend time there.

A big jug of Ice Lemon Tea

Baked Escargot

Bisque Soup

Oriental Cravings, 1Utama

Today my breakkie partner and me went over to Oriental Cravings 1Utama to try out as the boss lady, often drop by our working place for a cup of coffee...
She been asking me when will I drop by for a visit...
Well, I'm hungry as well, so why not?

The interior it's bit like kopitiam style..
Having bit of Penang and Malacca designs... Peranakan.

So we browse thru the menu...
Made a few orders...
Ready to dig in!

The food were nice except the Lap Mei Fan which been recommended by the waiter...
I don't fancy on the Chinese Sausage (Lap Cheong) so don't quite like that dish and it's kind of oily too...
The one I love most is the Claypot Lou Shu Fun, aw! Yummy!
I did ordered on appetizer, Handroll Chee Cheung Fun and Yam Cake...
I can't really taste out the Yam Cake, as it remind me of nasi lemak sambal...
Maybe because of the sauce they gave tasted like that?

However, it's a full meal of the day!
Can't believe my breakkie guy can't even finish the food...
But, we did not waste it..
We gulped it in!

Welcome to Oriental Cravings

My partner drove all the way to Tanjung Harapan, Klang for seafood...
It's worth for the long journey.

We went to the restaurant next door instead the one planned...
The food were not that bad, for rm90.00 with all the dishes which I quite satisfied with, nice.

Here's the menu...

While was finishing the meals...
Out of sudden rain heavily...
Still it's very nice environment with the breeze of the sea...

It's a nice off day for me.

Can't wait to visit the next door restaurant.

When?

Just Thai

Having break time with my colleague at Just Thai 1Utama...

A Quiet Lunch At Harper's, Malacca Town

I luv Malacca.

Don't ask me why...
Till now I have no idea why I'm so into the small town...
Been there least 3 times a year, I guess...
Still never get bored though...

Wouldn't mind to stay there too...

I've been passing by the Jonker's street...
Realized there's a nice restaurant nearby...

Harper's.

With the interior more to westernized...
Still, it's cozy especially when comes evening...
With lakeside view...
No matter how much the meal...
It's worth...
Especially, it's with someone who's in your heart at side.

Perfect day out.

The Cutleries...
Nice Napkin though ^_^
