Island Of Crabs....
It's been a while since I heard about this place...
And since last Tuesday was my and travelling partner off...
For fun I said "Let's go Pulau Ketam..."
Indeed we did...
Of course before going out for any trips...
I will check online what's the attractions and the way to go.
We started our journey to Port Klang about 12plus...
Wanted to catch the 1.40pm ferry...
Were rounding from one port to another port...
We were heading to South Port, and look for Port Klang KTM station...
Had our car park over there...
And asked one of the Jaga where is the ferry terminal....
"Tu...depan tu....."
While we were walking to.. "Tu..."
I told my partner....
"Gosh... blind people sure can't see...."
The board for the FERRY TERMINAL... it's so small just like the sign of Jalan Sehala..
*Fainted*
So we walked our way to the ferry...
Not sure where should we get our ferry though....
Just walk over the bridge till a man said "Pulau Ketam, Pulau Ketam..."
Even spoke to me in Hokkien asking me "Jiak pa boey...?" (Taken meal?)
Till we sat in the ferry, not knowing when to pay our fare...
Just looking around here and there...
Very the pasar though....
All the aunties and uncles talking non stop and it's in Hokkien/Teochew....
About 1.45pm the ferry started to move...
YEH!!! At last!
The only... a couple came over to collect money for the fare...
RM7/adult...
Not too expensive...
It's kind of relaxing trip as I told my partner...
We don't need to take the hassle to line up for ticket...
No need to wait for the ferry and get packed up...
Just climb into the ferry, and wait.
Our ferry....(interior)
The view...
Supposingly it takes 30 minutes to arrive to Pulau Ketam...
However the ferry made a pit stop at another ferry terminal at Sg.Lima...
And not long after another stopped at somebody house I guess...
Most of the houses there, oh well.. It's all above sea level...
Shall called it, the fishing village?
Best part is... Some of the houses, made by bricks...
Even the other passengers were laughing saying that,"this must be rich people of all, house made of concrete leh!"....
Agreed!
We reached our destination about 40minutes...
Our first stop it's to find ourself lunch!
Before we move from Port Klang,I told my partner that I think we could rent a bicycle in Pulau Ketam as I read in the paper...
TRUE...
You may rent a bike there for only RM5 a day...
How great is that?
However, we need to find FOOD!!!
So we walked ourself to a small alley...
And decided to take our lunch at a coffeshop which... well, got people having their meal... (more people the food should be nice?)
We placed our orders...
Salty Egg Yolk Crab...
Bamboo Shoot (chuk than)
Stir Fried Choi Tam
Seaweed Soup
Fried Noodle
A coconut... A can of winter melon... A glass of Iced Chinese Tea...
The Bill?
RM107.60.....
My partner was not happy about it as it's expensive...
To me... it's ok...
Luckily it's NICE!... Or else...
I'm the one NOT HAPPY... cos I paid!
The meat of the live crabs, so MEATY!
And fresh, but it's kind of weird when the clams...
Some meaty and big, some big but meatless...
Abnormal crabs?
Restoran Kim Hoe....
The interior of the shop...
This little girl been looking at me while I was snapping pictures... why not take hers too?!
The newspaper cut-out regarding the shop... No idea, it's in chinese!
Our drinks...(RM5.60)
Fried Noodle... (RM8.00)
Seaweed Soup with Fishball and Fishnoodle (RM13.00) - Nothing much to shout about :(
Stir Fried Choi Tam (RM10.00)
Chuk Than (RM28.00)
Salty Egg Yolk (RM43.00)
Look at the meat of the chuk than.... As fat as my thumb! Chewy and juicy.. yummy!!!
This crabs are for selling... How much? Hah, don't intend to ask!
After the lunch...
We decided to rent bicycles, easier for us to travel...
Since I can't tian mi mi with my partner...
So each of us got our own bikes...
Not sure where to go...
Since I saw the signboard to Tian Hao Gong...
So we just cycle to there...
Ermmm...
The temple not as big as the one in KL though...
Then...
Since I read about temples from the Attractions...
So we just cycled around the place till I saw an aunty and asked for the directions to the temples...
She was so kind enough to ride with us...
She cycled kind of fast though, can just swing and corner....
Gosh!
She joined us for prayers at the 1st temple...
Till she brought us to the 2nd temple, she just left us there...
Thanks thanks!
Not really comfortable there...
So after prayers...
We just cycled around the place...
And it's really around!
It's such a small village...
But the wind it's so nice!
There's no car, not even a motorcycle (except bicycle with motor!)
It's so so so so quiet!
Lucky there's still reception for mobile over there...
DON'T ASK ME WIFI!
The small alleys which only can pass 2 bicycles at one time...
The views from my cycling trips!
After the long cycles... which I enjoyed very very much...
My partner wanted to have a sit before we head off back to the ferry...
So we tried to find a nice place to sit...
Till we dropped boy a not too bad cafe...
It's malay shop...
And I guess that's the only MALAY stall there?
As I can't see others....
Here's the environment....
All the shops closed very early...
Only this malay shop closed the latest at 1am...
It's a dead town!
However... I enjoyed my this trip very much...
Talking about have a relax trip to the beach...
This is the most relax trip I ever had...
So quiet, good place to release tension...
Or maybe you will get more tension because of boredom?
I do not mind to come again though...
It's nice~~~~~
The last ferry was at 5.45pm...
This time it just took 30 minutes back to Port Klang...
Oh well...
Welcome back to reality...
Jam and cars and bikes!
Sigh!
I LOVE P.K! (that's the only gifts I got for myself there... PULAU KETAM!)
