60 Earth Hour

Such a luvly event...
I ain't sure why I so into this event...
Well... did I do my part?
Eventually, I told my dear that I'm going off the lights at 8.30pm...
End up, I went out for drinks with friends...
They were so surprised that I was into this event...
Told them that leave after 9.30pm...
No matter how much I like this event, I afraid of dark ok!
That's why I can't stay home alone.

We went to Fullhouse...
And surprisingly they also took the initiative to participate as well...
I looked at my watch, it was just 8pm and the cafe lights was off (half cafe)...
Even the toilets were ON candles...
Luvly Luvly...

By 9.35pm...
All the lights are on!

Oh well...
We shoudn't due to this event only we learn to switch off the light rite?

OK Duck Rice, Kepong

Duck Rice Duck Rice....
My favourite poultry of all...
Besides fish, I love ducky meat the most.

My dad used to get me duck rice in Kepong...
OK duck rice...
So it's been years since I last tasted the meal.

One fine sunny day...
I went with my dear to hunt food in Kepong...
So I decided to go over to the hawker side nearby the KTZ...

We ordered the duck for 2 with the Siu Yuk...
One coconut herbal soup...

The duck meat was so tender and meaty!
Normally you will just get about 1cm-2cm duck meat from outside...
But here...
It's about an inch!

It's really nice meal!

My Muah Chee Hunt in Penang....

I was so wanted to munch on Muah Chee very the long time ago...
For me to get in KL, well, it's quite expensive when I can get much cheaper in Penang!

So last month, I went back to Penang for few days...
My mum wanted to go for prayer at Kuan Yin Temple...
So we went with my youngest sista and grandma as well...
After the prayer...
I saw there's a muah chee stall opposite the temple, so gave it a try.

It's so chewy and the texture of the flour was real goody!
It's just RM2/pkt by the way!!!

After we had our chew, we were waiting for our grandma who was still doing her prayer in the temple.
We walked over to the temple, and suddenly most of the old beggars there suddenly shouted and move to a corner...
We all got surprised then only got to know that there's food distrubution given by charity organization...
How kind hearted!


Best part of all which impressed me...
The beggars were so discipline...
They line up for the food!

Maria's Restaurant.Cafe, Damansara Perdana

I've been google around the net for about a week or two to find a nice and cozy place for a quiet dinner...
It's my luvly dear's birthday.

So I came across a blog about Maria's Cafe about a week ago...
As the review mentioned that the food was nice...
And from the pictures being posted looking nice as well...
We never been there before even though our home it's just near by the corner...
So I decided to make a reservation and told the lady that I need a cake for that night.

She offered me chocolate cake which cost RM60, it's about 1kg?
However, I told her that I just want a small one as I don't fancy cake and I just want my dear to have it...
So with much chat, I decided on the Tiramisu as the review stated,it's good...
And the lady I chatted with is Mary Ann, the owner's daugher.


So...
Here comes the night...
I got to postponed the dinner from 8pm to 8.30pm due to traffic?

Anyhow...
Lucky enough they had a bunting hanging from top to indicate how to go up to the cafe...
I don't even know if take the lift which floor should I go though~

The glass door was closed...
Eventually need to slide it to the side...
That time just had one table of family inside...
The waiter greeted me and mentioned my name...
Good hospitality.

However...
He brought us to the non smoking section when I reserved smoking area...
It doesn't matter, we just moved to another section which cozier...
The music which being played over there, it's so relaxing and add more cozy of the place.

As what I realized, the pricing it's affordable...
For a place like this, wow...
It's a good deal.

After decided on what we wanted...
I ordered the soup of the day, my dear have the Onion Soup...
While we ordered, the waiter informed us that there's dinner set available...
After had a look, I decided to take the set...
So my soup became the set soup....
I have Roast Leg of Lamb, my dear have the Seafood Spaghetti..
I even ordered another starter, Spicy Chicken Salad...
For drinks, I have lemonade and my dear ordered a peppermint tea...
The waiter said that the tea will include in the set I ordered, I'm fine with that.

Not long later, the family went off...
So left our table...
Haha, it's just like I've paid for the whole cafe for the night! *proud proud*

Wow.. the tea from the set eventually they served in a pot... GOODY!
My lemonade was not really that nice, but it's ok as I prefer to have more sourish taste...

Cos I love it!
The portion was quite big, just nice for 2 person....

I was wondering... how big will the portion be?
As the set it's just RM28+....
Will it be too small?
Nehhh...
It's big though....
I guess, even though promotion, quality and quantity stays?
It's real nice and the lamb it's so tender and juicy...
But I found it weird to have a SAWI as the side dish (it's add with broccoli, cauliflower,carrots and potatoes)
Comes with black pepper sauce...
Voila, I had a meaty meal!

Served with prawns, mussels, salmon and squids....
It tossed with olive oil and mixture of herbs...
It's good just that my dear added too much pepper...

Desserts Moment...

Before the dessert being served, Mary came to me and said I've reserved a "dessert" should it be serve?
I said yes...
My dear was wondering is it cake?
I said no...
Suddenly, the music was off...
We looked at each other and wonders...
THEY ARE NOT PLAYING HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG ARE THEY!?!?!?!

Suddenly...
The waiter came out with the Tiramisu and the Happy Birthday Song was aired...
Laughed my heart out...
However...
Good enough, the song not that yesteryear tune...
It's smooth and classic....
Really nice effect....
My dear made her wish, and the candle blown.

After that the dessert for set arrived as well...
Woahh.. chocolate...
I don't take chocolate, so I told my dear to dig it up!
However, I tried on the Tiramisu...
Ahhh, rum!
So rich with RUM!
My dear said the real Tiramisu it's with Rum...
Oh well... the Tiramisu I had before... "HALAL"...
It's good, just that the deeper we spoon it, the rum flavour get stronger...
Then I tried on the chocolate pudding or brownies?... Not sure...
It's warm and nice....
Yet we both are full!

So in the end, ate the chocolate brownies to the end!
(For a not chocolate fan, I ate it~)

Had a few minutes there before we called for the bill...

Worth it.

Honestly, I enjoyed my meal, my night at Maria's more than in Boathouse which the price are double...
Why?
It's so quiet and cozy..
Yet...
The food quality eventually the same...
That's why I talked to myself during dinner that night...
It's worth and it's nice....
I've enjoyed myself there, even though through out the dinner we didn't talk much.

I'm falling in luv...again.

Restaurant Hao Wei Dao, Ara Damansara

Ah.. dinner time...
I wanted to bring my partner to NZX for quite sometimes...
Just the timing not right all the time...
THe place I wanted to go.. didn't open...
So we been walking around to see which one she prefer.

End up we went to Hao Wei Dao which is bit hidden...
We ordered not too little food!

The bill was RM56? It's been a while and I can't recall!
